Start and embrace imperfection [Miele's down-to-earth take on improvement].
Listen now to the second episode of the podcast The Taste of Perfection with Stefan Verhoeven (Managing Director Miele Netherlands)! After our first episode about the book of the same name, we join him to talk about how Miele tries to do a little better every day and works towards its promise: Immer Besser (previously: Miele, there is no better).
With the change and process management glasses, you can make this a very complicated conversation.
Stefan Verhoeven, on the contrary, often has a very down-to-earth answer: 'Just start. I learn most from my wife who teaches primary school. And you have to dare to embrace imperfection to get to some kind of perfection'. This makes you move and keep moving.
In addition to this down-to-earth view, would you like to know how Miele switched to the new slogan, what Miele learned from their in-home dry cleaning experiment and how they know how to make refubished washing machines....listen to the podcast on Spotify!
To share a lesson I took away from this interesting conversation....Also, as a beginning podcast maker, there is a risk of thinking in terms of perfection. This sound here and that sound there, that could be a bit better. Fine-tuning to.....to what actually... dare to embrace some form of imperfection. We are - with new podcasting equipment - making the sound quality of subsequent podcasts (immer) besser.
So listen to our second podcast soon! It can be found both on Spotify as YouTube and subscribe for free, so you don't miss anything from these engaging conversations.
