Your role

As a Senior Consultant at It's Value, you are the heart of our organisation. You are enthusiastic and motivated to further shape your career. At It's Value, you will have the opportunity to develop yourself as an expert senior consultant.
With a customer-oriented and results-oriented approach, you excel both independently and as part of a team. You carry out your assignments at leading medium-sized and large companies in Western Europe. You are able to take responsibility on an independent basis towards both employees and clients.

Work
As a Senior Consultant, you will focus on the design and implementation of services that provide financial control over public cloud environments. You will lead the Cloud Operations and Cloud Transformation teams to optimise their practices and achieve cost savings. This includes:

Optimisation of Cloud services: Generate and provide recommendations for optimising cloud services.
Development of IT Services: Elaborate IT Services on a component basis, including budgeting and costing and chargeback models.
Re-engineering IT-financial processes: Redesign and implementation of IT financial processes using FinOps thinking as a basis.
Implementation of FinOps Tools: Implement and support tools to support FinOps principles.
Customer interface: Interfacing with customers to discover their business challenges in FinOps and Technology Value Management.
Conducting FinOps assessments: You conduct thorough assessments to identify areas for improvement and add value to the customer.

Roles and responsibilities

Advising on Cloud costs, governance and control.
Co-shaping our expert group.
Collaborate with suppliers and identify strategic IT cost savings in Cloud domain.
Oversee financial budgeting processes for Cloud services.
Implement a chargeback model for Cloud costs.

Job requirements

Minimum college level.
Graduate degree in finance, economics, business administration or computer science.
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages both verbally and in writing.
Experience with large and complex environments in sectors such as Financial Services, Government and Business Services.
Experience with tools such as Cloudability, ProsperOps, Harness, AWS cost explorer and others.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior consultant.
Minimum 2 years' experience in optimising Cloud costs. Proven track record of managing financial budgeting for Cloud services.
Extensive knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and terminology.

Essential skills

Thorough knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud).
Hands-on experience with Cloud billing and reporting analytics tools.
Excellent presentation, communication and relationship skills.

Desirable skills

FinOps certification.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Solution Architect or Google Cloud Architect (training is offered).
Experience with Kubernetes containerisation.
Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Understanding of IT Operations based on the ITIL framework.
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and capacity planning.
