As Project Control Manager, you are responsible for ensuring smooth business operations and acting as the link between all parties involved in this project. Your connecting approach creates a close-knit team in which cooperation and commitment are central. You identify blind spots in project management in a timely manner and bring them up for discussion, so that the team achieves optimal results and clear accountability can be provided to the client. With your dedication, you create predictable processes and ensure that complex work for Liander runs smoothly. You are the driving force behind a structured approach and act as the linchpin, connecting the right people at the right time to ensure that the project runs optimally.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities
As an MPB, you are responsible for coordinating, optimising and monitoring processes within various projects. You work closely with project coordinators, the IPM team and other stakeholders to ensure the progress, quality and financial control of projects.
Consultation and Coordination
- Participate in structural consultations, such as weekly kick-offs, MPB consultations, MT, IPM team and operational consultations.
- Regularly catch up with colleagues and managers.
- Conducting job interviews with project coordinators.
- Consultations on organisational structure and process optimisation.
Process and Project Management
- Setting up and optimising invoicing and delivery processes.
- Preparing and maintaining financial statements and estimates.
- Coordinating the design and delivery process of projects (VO-DO-UO).
- Setting up and maintaining activity structures for time recording and financial management.
- Finalising and automating plot planning and project planning.
Quality and Risk Management
- Organising and attending risk sessions.
- Preparing and maintaining risk files and deviation registers.
- Evaluating processes and implementing improvements.
- Advising and coaching project coordinators on bottlenecks.
Reporting and Administration
- Preparing and maintaining progress reports, timesheets and project documentation.
- Checking and approving time sheets.
- Providing periodic reports and status updates for projects.
Desired Profile
- Approximately 5 years of comparable experience.
- Completed higher professional education in a technical or business administration field.
- Experience with project management and process optimisation – affinity with technology.
- Strong communication skills and team spirit.
- Analytical skills and accuracy in financial administration.
- Proactive attitude and solution-oriented thinking.
