About the client

Client is an energy network company whose core business is managing and maintaining the infrastructure for large-scale gas transportation and storage.

This will increasingly shift to green gas and hydrogen with the energy transition. They also participate in the construction and management of networks for heat and CO2.

What will you do?

As Finance Director, you are a member of the management team and oversee the realisation of the associates' objectives, focusing on value creation in a broader context and bringing financial acuity to business discussions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the financial-economic processes within the unit and of the companies. This covers a broad area, including monitoring the development of the project portfolio, target setting and realisation for individual participations, coordination of the annual business plans, preparation of consolidated quarterly reports and annual accounts, but also pricing and valuation issues for M&A opportunities. In the area of Risk & Opportunity Management, you have a leading role, the same applies to monitoring the internal governance processes. Together with the unit director, you report periodically to the Exective Board on the progress of activities, results and risks.

You have a proactive attitude in which you are able to approach issues from a broader perspective and give direction to various (financial) disciplines involved, such as Business Valuation, Treasury, Project Control and reporting, Financial Accounting and Tax. You lead or participate in a number of improvement projects, both within the unit and with the broader finance and control organisation.

What do we ask?

  • You have wo working and thinking level towards business economics or business administration, preferably supplemented by an RC or RA degree.
  • You have at least 15 years of experience in all-round financial management positions.
  • You have knowledge of and experience with large, complex project environments and investments with both technical and commercial challenges;
  • You have extensive experience in risk & opportunity management preferably in both the development phase and the execution phase of projects;
  • Your command of the Dutch and English languages is excellent, both verbally and in writing.

o You act proactively and independently and can bring colleagues well into your story.

About the department

The Business Unit focuses on all the Group's existing associates/partnerships as well as the development and construction of new infrastructure for energy transition projects.

You will report to the Unit Director Participations and lead the department
