Intro

The Amsterdam Parent and Child Teams Foundation, which is developing rapidly, is looking for a connecting all-round Group Controller for 32-36 hours a week. A challenging and varied position in a socially engaged organisation.

Who are you?

Are you the connecting Group Controller who takes the next step in professionalising the finance & control department? And do you like doing this at a social organisation? Then this position is just right for you and we would like to talk to you!

About Stichting Ouder- en Kindteams Amsterdam (OKT)

OKT is an organisation committed to equity. OKT is there for all children, young people and parents in Amsterdam. We offer low-threshold youth support and youth health care. Our teams consist of parent and child advisers, youth doctors, youth psychologists and youth nurses.

Together, we help children and young people grow up healthy and safe and develop to their full potential. We make a strong commitment to this every day. Because youth aid and youth health care are under one roof, we can work well together to offer families the right help when needed.

We are an organisation that can be characterised as informal; where hard work and humour go hand in hand and a personal approach and good atmosphere are key.

What will you do?

As Group Controller, you are part of the Business Operations cluster (consisting of information management, finance, ICT and accommodation) and you fulfil a substantive guiding and advisory role within this cluster. You also have an independent signalling and advisory role for the director and management, with a direct line to the Supervisory Board. You give solicited and unsolicited advice on the direction of the organisation, risks and opportunities and the finances in relation to the achievement of the goals and you are an (agenda) member of the Management Board.

Your duties:

  • You manage and monitor the organisation's P&C cycle. You ensure that the documents therein are delivered on time and follow the correct route. You actively assist in drafting the documents, monitor budgets and prepare progress reports and forecasts.
  • You work together with the information manager to compile meaningful key figures and ratios from financial data, HR data and data from the primary process. You contribute ideas and advice on useful key figures and their correct application. You pay attention to the learning effect of the figures. With input from colleagues, you provide a good explanation and outlook. In this way, you create documents for informing and accounting to the Supervisory Board, client, network partners and Amsterdam citizens.
  • You will take care of the year-end closing in accordance with the agreement with the client and the organisation's statutes, deliver the financial statements and coordinate the audits.
  • You monitor the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the financial records. You are responsible for the monthly closing.
  • You perform (numerical) checks and substantively manage the finance employee and the external accounting firm.
  • You will maintain internal and external contacts and relationships, including with team managers, HR, the external client, the tax authorities and the auditor.

What do we ask?

  • A completed, relevant education at HBO/WO level in the field of Finance & Control.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar end-to-end all-round finance role.
  • You can work well together and build relationships.
  • You are a builder, you have drive, you are businesslike but with feeling, you are independent
  • Sparring partner within operations and towards Management and Supervisory Board

What do we offer?

  • An attractive salary up to a maximum of €6,078.02 gross per month (for a 36-hour working week);
  • Hybrid working;
  • You will receive an end-of-year bonus, holiday pay, 200 hours of leave (based on 36 hours), a good pension scheme, an allowance for travel expenses and a contribution towards health insurance premiums;
  • You get a laptop and a phone to use for work;
  • You will work at a flat organisation with plenty of room for autonomy and development;
  • We believe it is important that you can continue to learn and develop as well as to your vitality and resilience.
