Your role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data and numbers?

In this position, you will have the opportunity to play a key role as Business Controller at Monuta, an organisation that makes a valuable impact on people in the final phase of their lives every day. You will work as a business partner together with the Manager Business Control and contribute to Monuta's mission: A farewell with a good feeling for everyone.

 Your main tasks:

  • Further developing reports using Power BI;
  • Together with management, you will be responsible for the budget process, forecasts;
  • You will work on business cases to help shape the company's growth;
  • You will replace Manager Business Control as needed and become a member of the MT of Funeral;
  • Besides Funeral, you will have the opportunity to support either Insurance or Holding.

 

We offer

  • A gross annual salary of approximately €85,000 (including the Individual Incentive Budget (IKB) of 16.33% of your gross salary consisting of a year-end bonus of the same amount as a thirteenth month and holiday allowance. You can choose to have (part of) this budget paid out whenever you want, to buy extra holidays or to use it, for example, for following a study for your personal development.)
  • Monuta carries 2/3e of the pension contribution. The modern pension scheme is placed with Be Frank and is a defined contribution (PPI) scheme with a flat contribution of 18.85%
  • A permanent contract;
  • 27.5 holidays;

Your profile

We are looking for a new colleague with:

  • HBO/academic working and thinking level;
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience;
  • Analytically strong, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to make connections;
  • The potential to grow into MT member
  • Who enjoys improving Business Control processes to make things easier and faster, both for Business Control and internal customers;
  • Strong affinity with data, dashboarding, Power BI;

The department and team

You will work in the Business Control team, which consists of three professionals with a passion for data and numbers. Together with Financial Control (7 colleagues), this team forms the financial core of the organisation. Together, you ensure a strong financial basis and data-driven decision-making.

You will support the Senior Business Controller Funeral and also work closely with the Commercial Manager Funeral Group, Country Operational Manager and other stakeholders within the organisation.

Your place of employment is Monuta's head office. You will currently find our head office in Apeldoorn, where all staff departments are represented. In the summer of 2025, the head office will move to Amersfoort. We will then move to a beautiful and modern workplace, close to the railway station.
