WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

As Business Controller You will advise on tactical financial and economic policy, the structure of the organisation and the optimisation of processes. You translate financial and operational data into clear insights and practical advice. In doing so, you act as a strong sparring partner for the operations team and management, are not afraid to take a firm stance with internal and external stakeholders, and support the Finance Manager with incisive analyses and reliable management information. You will join a team of 10 finance professionals and report to the Finance Manager.

You play a key role in improving financial performance and strengthening business operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and advising: you translate financial results into clear management reports and practical recommendations that guide decision-making;
  • Performance and financial management: you monitor productivity and billability, develop key performance indicators and management figures, and draw up forecasts and liquidity projections;
  • Keeping projects under control: you monitor project valuations, compare financial progress with operational progress, and ask critical questions regarding the forecasts for the completion of the work;
  • Monitoring and adjusting: You compare actual results with the plan, analyse variances and advise on corrective measures. You set up the planning and control cycle and ensure internal control and risk management in accordance with the PDCA cycle;
  • Improving financial processes and systems: You have knowledge of AO/IC, Financial Control and administrative organisation. You understand the link between data solutions and financial processes and initiate improvements, including in Microsoft Business Central (4PS);
  • Ensuring reliable management information: You will work closely with Financial Control and the FSSC to ensure that information is provided accurately, comprehensively and in a timely manner.

What do you bring?

  • A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in finance or economics;
  • At least 5 to 8 years’ relevant work experience;
  • A strong affinity for data; Excel is second nature to you;
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central 4PS or MS Dynamics Navision;
  • Experience with Power BI (self-service);
  • An interest in IT and technological developments;
  • Strong communication skills: you are focused and confident in engaging in any conversation in order to find solutions and improve processes.

WHAT DOES HANAB HAVE TO OFFER YOU?

  • Hybrid: you work in the office for 4 days and are allowed to work from home for 1 day;
  • An attractive salary of up to €97,000 gross per annum – based on your knowledge and experience;
  • A lease car is one of the options;
  • The right devices that you’re allowed to use for both work and personal purposes;
  • Plenty of time off: 25 days’ annual leave and 13 ADV days (based on a 40-hour working week). The role is available on a part-time basis from 32 hours per week;
  • Travel allowance. You can choose between €0.25 per kilometre or reimbursement of actual public transport costs up to a maximum of €456 per month;
  • A good pension scheme and joint health insurance for extra security and greater stability.
