About IMC Weekend School
Since 1998, IMC Weekend School has been inspiring young people aged 10 to 14 in neighbourhoods where extra opportunities are most needed. Our motto: “Learn now what comes later.” We let children dream, discover and grow by introducing them to a wide variety of subjects – from law and medicine to art and entrepreneurship. Thanks to our enthusiastic guest lecturers, they gain a view of the world that broadens their horizons and boosts their self-confidence!
With our unique educational concept, Future Expedition, we reach thousands of pupils every year through:
- 10 weekend schools and 25 primary schools throughout the Netherlands
- A powerful alumni network of over 4,000 former students

IMC WEEKEND SCHOOLThe team
In addition to you, the finance team consists of one controller, one financial analyst, one financial administrative assistant and one payroll administrator. The team is part of the Operations team. In this position, you will report to the Director of Operations.
It is a pleasant team with an informal atmosphere and short lines of communication. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the finance team functions effectively. You will collaborate extensively and there will be opportunities for you to develop, both professionally and personally.
Your role as Controller
As Controller, you are the financial driving force behind IMC Weekend School. You:
- Advises the board, management and fundraisers on financial policy
- Develops and monitors the planning and control cycle
- Prepares the annual accounts and financial reports
- Set up the administrative organisation and internal control
- Manages subsidy accountability and associated financial processes
Your work is crucial to our mission – you ensure that we can continue to grow and reach even more young people!
What are you bringing?
- HBO+ working and thinking level, preferably in business economics, accountancy & control or similar
- At least 3 years' experience with annual accounts, planning & control and subsidy accountability
- Analytical skills, persuasiveness and integrity
- You get things done and are accurate and results-oriented.
- Strong communication skills, you enjoy interacting with various stakeholders and asking the right critical questions.
What do we offer you?
- An annual salary of up to €65,000 gross (full-time, 40 hours)
- Pension scheme: only 2% personal contribution, the rest is paid by IMC Weekend School
- 25 days of holiday entitlement for full-time employment
