What do you do as a CONSULTANT CYBER SECURITY at IMPROVEN?
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will be the driving force behind digital security at our clients. You will help organisations identify risks, implement control measures and create awareness. You will work on complex issues and translate them into practical solutions that work.
You advise on security governance, risk management and awareness, support decision-making and create coherence between policy, organisation and processes. You work closely with privacy specialists, risk consultants, IT auditors and technical security teams, but your strength lies in consultancy, analysis and advice.
With your ability to make complex security topics understandable and applicable to board and management, you will help organisations take concrete steps towards sustainable digital resilience.
Some of your duties
- Advising on security governance, risk management and strategic security choices
- Drafting and guiding security roadmaps that align with organisational goals
- Translating laws and regulations (including NIS2, DORA, ISO27001) into clear frameworks and decision making
- Conducting security or privacy risk assessments
- Structuring roles, responsibilities, processes and awareness programmes
- Guiding stakeholders, raising security awareness and making change work
- Collaborate with privacy consultants, IT auditors and technical security teams to link strategy and implementation
- Contribute to the development of propositions, security frameworks and knowledge sharing within IMPROVEN
This is where you recognise yourself
- You are driven, keenly analytical and eager to go the extra mile to make a real impact
- You have 2-8 years' experience in terms of cyber security, privacy, IT risks or information security
- You have knowledge of relevant security standards and laws and regulations (such as NIS2, DORA, ISO27001, AVG)
- You communicate clearly and switch easily between strategy, operations and governance
- You take ownership and feel responsible for the entire process: from risk analysis to governance
- You can make security topics understandable to different target groups
- You enjoy working within a consultancy environment combining client assignments with building IMPROVEN
- Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CRISC or ISO certifications are a plus
- Affinity with tooling (Excel, Power BI, SQL or Python) is a nice touch
