Goals
Gain insight into the tasks per process step and the corresponding duration. Furthermore, it focuses on distinguishing between 'value-add', 'non-value add' and 'waste' tasks.
Steps

- Add Branch time.
- Classify tasks according to value added: value add, non-value add, waste.
- Continue Line Balancing to optimise the process.
Tips:
- The yamazumi has mainly been applied to manufacturing organisations, where lead times and processing times are often easier to measure.
