The Pinlock® lens, once winner of the ‘Best Invention of the Year’ award in the Netherlands, has become an essential component of the motorbike helmet. The lens is based on two principles: nanotechnology within the lens that can attract, store and release water back into the air, and an insulating effect when the lens is fitted to the motorbike helmet, thanks to a silicone sealing rim on the lens. The combination of these two technologies makes the lens effective against misting in the visor. From weekend riders to MotoGP and Formula 1 drivers, Pinlock offers clear vision in all weather conditions.
Over the past five years, Pinlock has grown from a supplier of leading anti-fog technology to an integrated manufacturer of Pinlock® lenses and a development partner for helmet brands. Pinlock focuses on offering ever-greater added value to its partner brands, building on its technological lead and further strengthening the brand. The company is making strides in the fields of optics and seamless integration, and is also expanding its portfolio to serve the growing market ever more effectively. Around 25 people work at the head office in Lelystad, whilst over 30 colleagues are based in Raamsdonksveer.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Financial Controller, you will support the Finance Team Lead in further professionalising the finance organisation. You will contribute to reliable financial record-keeping, an efficient month-end process and clear management information. In addition, you will be given plenty of scope to improve financial processes and to contribute to projects that help the organisation grow further. You will work in a Finance team of four colleagues, collaborating closely with the Finance Team Lead and taking on a great deal of responsibility within your field of expertise.
Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things:
- Preparing and carrying out the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings;
- Assisting with the consolidation of the various entities;
- Preparing financial analyses to support management reporting;
- Providing support with financial issues relating to stock management, production costs and margin analyses;
- Identifying opportunities for improvement within financial processes and developing and implementing improvements in collaboration with the Finance Team Lead;
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and experience
- A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a similar field;
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance role, for example as a (assistant) controller/accountant, financial analyst, or similar
- A good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- Experience in a production environment is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP software is an advantage;

WHAT DOES PINLOCK OFFER?
- A gross annual salary of between €43k and €55k, depending on experience.
- Bonus scheme: up to €2,000 net on achieving collective sales targets.
- Pension: excellent scheme through Nationale Nederlanden, fully paid by Pinlock.
- Travel allowance: public transport pass or €0.25 per km (up to a maximum of 100 km per day).
- Home working facilities: laptop, phone and budget for your home office.
You will report directly to the Finance Team Lead and be part of a small, motivated team. The number of hours is flexible (32–40 hours per week), depending on your availability.
