A closer look: Robin van Seumeren

For the past few months, Robin has been working on an assignment at an international producer of packaging materials. His challenge? Designing and implementing a standard accounting chart of accounts (SCOA) for all parts of the organisation. This involved bringing seventeen companies together for accounting purposes for reporting and consolidation.

What Robin appreciated most about the assignment?

It was a clear assignment in which I could really take ownership. I was given responsibility and could quickly switch between the different stakeholders.

Although Robin had no specific background in accounting, he managed to successfully complete this assignment thanks to the Young IMPROVEN Finance Pathway. With targeted training and guidance from managing consultant Xander Snijders, he was able to develop quickly and make an impact.
