What will you do as a SENIOR IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT at IMPROVEN?

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the success of digital transformation projects at our clients. You ensure that complex IT implementations do not get stuck in plans and PowerPoints, but lead to working solutions that are embraced by the organisation. You bring structure where lacking, clarity where needed and pace where possible. You are in constant dialogue with stakeholders: from product owners and architects to managers and directors. You function as a sparring partner, advisor and challenger, someone who asks questions, thinks along with you, adjusts and gives direction at times when it really matters.

That is exactly where your playing field lies: making projects succeed by combining structure, collaboration and execution power to make digital change work.
Some of your duties
  • Leading IT projects and programmes from initiative phase to handover & assurance.
  • Setting up governance structures (RACI, decision-making rhythm, risk steering) that ensure pace and quality.
  • Translating objectives into roadmaps, deliverables and clear acceptance criteria.
  • Choosing and applying the right delivery approach (agile, hybrid or more structured) appropriate to context and maturity.
  • Directing stakeholders in business, IT and governance; visibly connect and professionally manage escalations.
  • Transparent reporting on progress, risks and dependencies (portfolio level where necessary).
  • Ensuring that change lands: organise communication, guidance and adoption structurally.
  • Actively contribute to the further further development of our Digital Services propositions.

  • You have 5-10 years of experience As an IT project manager or consultant within digital transformations.
  • You will leave organisations demonstrably better: substantively strong, people-focused and results-driven.
  • You bring structure to complex situations and translate them into clear choices, scenarios and actions.
  • You understand both the technical if the organisational side of IT change and can connect those worlds.
  • Governance, project control and stakeholder management are core components of your skill set.
  • You are familiar with methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, PRINCE2, IPMA or PMP.
  • You communicate clearly, convincingly and purposefully towards management, teams and external stakeholders.
  • You thrive in a consultancy environment where freedom, ownership and collaboration are key.
  • You translate strategic goals into realistic roadmaps, measurable results and clear accountability.
  • You know how to motivate teams, create support and bring people along, even when interests differ or change creates resistance.
