For one of our regular clients, a hospital in the Haaglanden region, we are looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance and process effectiveness.
You will also be responsible for various privacy and data protection related issues. A nice broad position in which you can pioneer, shape and develop. In this position, you will report directly to the Manager Internal Audit. The Internal Audit department falls directly under the Executive Board.

Responsibilities Senior Internal Auditor:
- Setting up and (further) developing the Audit department;
- Identifying operational risks and suggesting improvements.
- Plan, prepare and execute Internal Audits;
- Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional associations
- Making improvement proposals for quality and risk management.
Privacy responsibilities:
- Privacy compliance monitoring;
- Support and advise on data protection risks;
- Function as point of contact.
Employment conditions:
- Salary indication 70K - 90K (36-hour work week);

Job requirements:
- Completed education at HBO/WO level in a relevant field such as Accountancy;
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Excellent knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques and testing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch
- In possession of subject-related training such as RA, RO, CIPP/E and CIPM or studies focused on data protection and privacy.
- Knowledge and experience of the AVG is an advantage;
- Strong in stakeholder management.
