It already feels much longer than six weeks ago. But since COVID-19 (Corona), suddenly most of working Holland is working distant from home by necessity.<\/p>\n

A tool to work from home is easily and quickly chosen. But you can only really work well from home if you can also access all company documents and applications digitally, in a secure way. While on average 40% of employees find this innovation exciting and spicy. So when choosing and using video calling app, don't forget the implementation of behavioural change!<\/p>\n

Which remote working tool offers the most convenience and yet is also sufficiently secure? <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Microsoft Teams<\/strong>: An all-in-one and very user-friendly total solution that integrates image calling with all the benefits of Office365, enabling true remote collaboration.<\/p>\n

Skype for Business: <\/strong>Microsoft has indicated that Skype for Business will be retired in mid-2021. Until then, Skype for Business is a more accessible and cheaper alternative to Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n

Zoom: <\/strong>An extremely popular app for people who do not want to be tied to the big IT players. Zoom recently came under fire for privacy issues. This proves once again how important security remains even with these kinds of apps.<\/p>\n

Google Meet<\/strong>: Google has its powerful web meeting tool (Meet). This app also has an intergration with Google's office apps (G Suite). With Google, the handiness is mostly in the little things. An interesting option for people who are not Microsoft fans.<\/p>\n

WebEX<\/strong>: An app from the great Cisco that is widely used in the United States. Besides the 'usual' functionalities, WebEx also offers nice options like webinars and online training. A nice alternative to Zoom.<\/p>\n

Vendors of remote working applications are increasingly converging. What one can do today, the other will have added tomorrow. Are you just looking for a good, inexpensive and secure video calling app? Then consider Skype for Business or WebEx. Do you really want to make the most of remote working and work the same (or better) than in the office? Then get the most out of more comprehensive and also more complicated suites from Microsoft (Teams\/ Office365) or Google (Meet\/ Suite).<\/p>\n
