Hella is one of our Young Improven Finance consultants, and her first assignment is a great example of this!<\/p>\n<p>Together with two experienced colleagues, she worked on a future plan for a public-private organisation in Amsterdam to merge the \u2018Business Control\u2019 and \u2018Finance &amp; Control\u2019 departments. The aim was to align everyone and set a clear direction. To do this, she researched where the department currently stood and where it wanted to go. Based on this, she created a roadmap of improvement actions to achieve that objective. But to do that properly, she first needed to understand how the current work process was going.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Hella undertook the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Interviews<\/strong> with the departments using the services of Business Control and Finance &amp; Control<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workshops<\/strong> In which Hella and her colleagues looked at new technology and process opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-text-color=\"primary\">\u201cI discovered how important good cooperation is and how diverse the challenges within an organisation can be. Not only did I learn more about financial processes, but especially about the people behind them: their personalities, interests and ways of working.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This project shows how varied the work of a consultant at IMPROVEN can be.
