For our client, a leading Dutch organisation, internationally active in the production & maintenance of complex components for machines, we are looking for a business controller (member MT). It is a permanent position.

Organisational and departmental description

In the Netherlands, 2,500 people work for the organisation; worldwide, the company has over 16,000 colleagues. The client's professionals work together for their customers on high-quality products & service and on innovative and sustainable projects.

As business controller, your main areas of focus are keen monitoring of forecasting, cost control, working capital and efficiency.

In your role as business controller, you will be part of three MTs, one of which is in the US, and you will be The linking pin between the local business and the group's management. The Finance team consists of two colleagues, which you will lead.

You will report to the manager business control Europe.

Job information

You are a sparring partner of management and involved in financial decisions of the 3 locations. You interact with them on a daily basis, monitor projects and take care of reporting.

Your most important activities are:

Proactively prepare financial reports that provide stakeholders with maximum insight and clarity. Where necessary, you go in-depth, for example when figures deviate significantly from trends and forecasts;
Present findings directly to your stakeholders, where you are expected to take a critical stance, proactively advise and suggest improvements. You also have this signalling and advisory role to operational departments;
Be visible to the business and liaise with other controllers in the Europe business line, ensuring that you obtain all figures and information in time for the monthly closures.

Job requirements

WO working and thinking level within finance & control;
1-3 years of relevant work experience in business control;
Fluent in Dutch and good command of English in word and writing;
Drive, independence, taking initiative, solution-orientation and focus on continuous improvement.
