Doing the right projects
A standard Project Portfolio Management approach for selecting, valuing and prioritising projects enables an organisation to deploy scarce resources (people and budget) on those projects that have the greatest added value for the organisation. Getting the projects right
By selecting the right projects, an organisation does not yet realise the desired changes. To achieve results, the projects will also have to be realised in the right way. By realising projects in a controlled manner using waterfall, agile or hybrid methods, it can be guaranteed that the client or customer actually gets what he needs - preferably on time and within budget. Flexibility, the ability to make adjustments all the time, is key. And a project is not really finished unless sufficient attention is given to the stakeholders and the actual implementation and embedding in the organisation.
